Bea's mother Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for the care of her daughter and Sinead. The family was obsessed with race meetings as well as horses. Bea started out her career as a tour-guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea realized at an early age that racing wasn't for her.
